What's included

Your tour will be a small group (up to six persons) plus your tour guide. We need a minimum of three people on each tour for it to run (except for the Oban half day tour which has no minimum); if we have to cancel a tour you'll receive a full refund.

Your tour includes a tour guide/driver and transport in our comfortable Oban Backpacker Tours vehicles. A tour guide only on Guided Motorcycle Tours - bring your own motorcycle!

We recommend you bring a bottle of water and a packed lunch – although we will stop at a pub or café during the day where refreshments can be purchased.

We provide tea, biscuits and include a tot of single malt whisky so you don't just see the country, you taste it too! (Sorry, but no tea or tot on the Oban Half Day, the Guided Walking Tours or the Guided Motorcyle Tour).

Booking your tour

Tours must be booked and paid for in advance. Book your tour by phone, email or in person at Oban Backpackers Hostel reception.

Payment is non returnable if you cancel less than 48 hours before the tour. If we have to cancel a tour, you will receive a full refund.

Tour prices do not include entrance fees to sites, ferry fares or tourist boat trips or lunch. Tour guests pay for these themselves on the day.

The Guided Walking and Motorcyle Tours are provided by Oban Backpacker Hostel.

Your exact departure time will be confirmed when you book: Argyll-based tours generally leave Oban Backpackers Hostel between 09.00 and 09.30, returning by 17.00 unless otherwise stated.
