Oban Backpacker Tours is run by Joy of Scotland Ltd, an Oban based company which also brings you Oban Backpackers Hostel with the most comfortable dorm beds on the planet and Oban Backpackers Plus with its twin and double bedded rooms ideal for couples.  We live and work with travellers and backpackers every day - many of us have been, and still are, backpackers.

Our company is called Joy of Scotland because we’re joyful that we’re in Scotland and we want you to be joyful as well, not just about being in Scotland, but about staying with us and enjoying our tours! And our secret ingredient? Key employees are not just ordinary employees, they are part owners - totally committed to making sure you have a great time.

Our Tours - No Ordinary Day Out

Our tours are relaxed, informal and above all, great fun. You’ll travel in a small group around Argyll’s hidden gems and up mesmerizing Glencoe and beyond. Our guided tours leave daily from Oban to visit stunning scenery in the surrounding area. We'll give you a sightseeing day full of snippets of history, stops to take photos and tales that will bring to life the castles, standing stones and glens you’ll see during your tour. Laughter and fun aren't optional extras - they're all inclusive.
